Why you'll like this year's Guide:

The coolest thing, I think, is designer Brian Meissner's innovative layout for the Mock Draft. The challenge has always been to make the Mock readable, and Brian suggested a vertical layout rather than a horizontal one. It's a winner!

This year's Guide has a special from Joe Sheehan, on the back page, with a funny piece about his limitations as a roto player and his excellent ability to spot coming talent, along with his Five Sleepers for this year.

There are, of course, hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of Picks and Pans, a cornucopia of opinion from the most far-ranging and impressive roster of experts you'll find in any magazine.

Mastersball.com's Rob Leibowitz compiled our annual Writers Rondelay on this year's Top Rookies. It is a big job, but I don't know of a more informative guide to this year's crop, thanks to our panel of experts.

Plus, of course, there are the capsules and stat boxes for more than 1,400 players. No other magazine give you more, including Major League and Minor League games played by position. The Guide is useful all season long.

Plus, there are plenty of Strategies of Champions--Andy Behrens from Yahoo, Steve Gardner from USA Today, Alex Patton from pattonandco.com, Nate Ravitz from ESPN.com--explain how they won their expert leagues, and a collection of strategy stories to get you thinking about how to approach this year.

The Fantasy Baseball Guide 2010: Out Last Year.

The Fantasy Baseball Guide 2010

This is the 11th annual edition of the Fantasy Baseball Guide, which we launched in 2000. I saw some copies today on the newsstand at Barnes and Noble in Brooklyn. Based on reports and experience it isn't everywhere, but it is out there.

As the cover lines indicate, the big features that we have and no one else has are:

My five-year earnings scans for all included players.

Five year scans of player costs in roto leagues, based on actual league prices, for all included players.

Minor league games played by position as well as major league games played.

Picks and Pans (short blurbs recommending or dissing a player) from a wide array of experts, many very well know, some of lesser renown, one of the magazine's most popular features.

An NFBC style Mock Draft full of expert league winners and major writers from major sites.

Our Strategies of Champions section features essays from league winners about what they did to win, and how it helped them. This year's contributors include experts like Brian Walton (Tout Wars NL), Lawr Michaels (Tout Wars AL), Chris Liss (Tout Wars Mixed), Derek Carty (LABR AL), and Mike Gianella (CBS Sports AL.

And, believe it or not, there is also an excellent Rookies section, cheat sheets, and even more.

If you can't find the magazine on newsstands, at Barnes and Noble or WalMart, or elsewhere, and would be interested in a pdf or Kindle version, please email me at pkreutzer@yahoo.com.

Thanks for your interest.
Peter
